The people

Who will do the work?

Mat Caniglia leads every project end to end. The engineers are in LATAM and share your working day.

1 weekWe present candidates within 1 week, and you interview the engineer who will do the work.

Three checks before you meet an engineer

  1. Technical interview

A technical interview built around a real exercise.

  2. English interview

Checks that the engineer can work with you in English.

  3. Mat interviews

Mat Caniglia interviews every engineer himself before we present them to you.

Engineers from our published cases

Roles, stacks and languages of the engineers who worked on the cases on this site. We publish no names or photos.

Eight areas, priced in public

We work in AI engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, QA (manual and automation), forward deployed engineering, staff augmentation and fixed-scope projects.

We publish our hourly rates by seniority and the fixed price of every package. You interview the engineer who will do the work, and if that engineer leaves or doesn't fit, we replace them and cover the handover at no cost.

What engineering practice does Clouditive follow?

Clouditive applies one engineering practice across its projects. Infrastructure is code in OpenTofu with encrypted state, so every change is on record. Releases are cut by tag and deployed by image digest, so production runs the exact build that was tested. A push gate checks architecture rules before code leaves the engineer's machine. QA runs in a real browser. AI output is judged by models measured against labelled examples. A plan that would destroy something stops before it applies.

The same practice runs in the client projects on our case pages.

  • Nothing reaches production untested: every change passes automated checks first
  • A bad release is stopped before production and rolled back in about a minute (72 s in a rehearsal in MPI's dev environment)
  • Infrastructure changes can't delete data by accident: a change that would destroy something stops first
  • You can audit what runs: production runs the exact build that was tested, and every infrastructure change is on record
  • AI output is checked before anyone relies on it, and a person approves

Prices on the page, results with figures, a founder with 18+ years

Every hourly rate and the fixed price of every package are published. Each client case states measured figures: at MPI, production releases run about 3 times as often and production release failures fell from 23% to 4%. Our founder, Mat Caniglia, has more than 18 years in platform engineering, DevOps and SRE.

Our engineers are in LATAM and work between UTC−3 and UTC−5: 6 to 8 hours of overlap with Mexico City, at least 4 with US Eastern time and 2 with US Pacific.

Service is delivered 100% in English, Spanish or Portuguese, whichever your team uses.
