What does government software development require?

Government software has to show who decided what and when, tell the right people when something changes, stay usable without training, and release in a controlled way. That means an owner and a history on every request, an immutable audit trail, accessible screens and a pipeline that can be checked after the fact. Clouditive builds those foundations, as in the coordination platform described on this page.

The client is a cross-team coordination platform with a Government edition and a Business edition. It centralizes the communication and work that crosses an organization's areas: every request, change, missing item and approval has an owner and a history.

We built it from zero. The AI copilot is designed but not built, so this page claims no AI or SRE delivery. Every figure is one client's result, not a promise.

What you get, step by step

Everything in the package, in the order it lands. The price and the duration stay the same.

  1. Step 1:

Understand your product and its configuration end to end.

  2. Step 2:

A full roadmap: backlog, roles, critical changes and needs.

  3. Step 3:

Daily meetings and progress reviews with your team.

  4. 1–4 weeks

    USD 7,000

Want to keep going after the package? Add engineers by the hour at the published rates, with a 6-month minimum term. How staff augmentation works.

Proven on real work

Real clients, dated figures, and a plain note on what was not done.

What did we build for a coordination platform?

Portal home: an e-mailed time change fans out to four teams with an audit trail. (interface shown in English)

The portal runs on Next.js 16, React 19 and Postgres 18, organized in 12 bounded contexts: organisations, identity, mail, history, activities, missing items, changes, notices, work, requests, search and import. Module boundaries are enforced, so one context cannot reach into another.

  • Every request, change, missing item and approval with an owner and a history.
  • Change impact computed and confirmed before anyone is notified.
  • Spreadsheet import for existing data.
  • Passwordless magic-link sign-in with an attempt cap.

Prefer to pay by the hour?

Add engineers to your own team at the published rates instead of buying a package.

Frequently asked questions

What does a government software development company do?

It builds the software public-sector teams use to coordinate work and keep records. Clouditive covers product design, platform engineering, DevOps and QA, with LATAM engineers working in English, Spanish or Portuguese.

Does the platform have a Government edition?

Yes. It has a Government edition and a Business edition, built on the same foundation.

Is there AI in the platform?

The AI copilot is designed, not built. By design, AI only suggests and a person confirms.

How do you handle sign-in?

Passwordless magic-link sign-in with a cap on attempts.

Is the product accessible?

We run axe with WCAG 2.2 AA tags inside a Playwright click-through at 1440 and 390 pixels. On the build we checked, it found 0 violations on the pages judged. That is a check, not a certification.

Can you build to our security and procurement requirements?

We complete your security questionnaire or vendor assessment on request, use your accounts with SSO, MFA and least privilege, and work under an MSA and SOW with an NDA if you ask. All code and IP are yours from day 1.

Do you offer 24x7 on-call?

No. We work in your business hours and leave alerts and runbooks so your on-call can resolve incidents.

How much does it cost?

Discovery is USD 7,000 for 1–4 weeks. Hourly rates are USD 30–60 by seniority and are on the pricing page.

Start with Discovery: USD 7,000, fixed price, 1–4 weeks. We understand your product and its configuration end to end and deliver a full roadmap with backlog, roles, critical changes and needs, with daily meetings and progress reviews. Build work afterwards runs by project or by hour: USD 30–60 by seniority, with a 6-month minimum for staff augmentation.

The platform in this case was built in 102 commits over 12 days. That is one project, not a timeline we promise you.

How does an audit trail work in a coordination portal?

History is immutable: a change is added to the record, never rewritten, so it is possible to see who did what and when. Because change impact is confirmed before a notice goes out, people hear about a change after someone has checked who it touches.

AI only suggests and a person confirms. The copilot that would do the suggesting is designed but not built.

How is a government portal released and checked?

The release pipeline signs container images with cosign and deploys by digest with no traffic on the new revision. Migrations run as a Cloud Run job, a health check follows, and only then is the revision promoted.

A Playwright click-through with axe, using WCAG 2.2 AA tags, ran at 1440 and 390 pixels on the build we checked: 10 steps, 0 failed requests and 0 console errors.

Design came first: 43 screens, 114 approved frames, drawn at 1440 and 390.

Tell us your case.

We reply to every request within 1 business day. We sign an NDA before the call if you ask.
