Our own OpenTofu has 53 mocked-provider tests.
Fixed-price packageCI/CD & IaC build or re-architectureUSD 4,0002 weeks
An apply that refuses unnamed destroys
- PlanEvery create, change and destroy is listed.
- ReviewA person reads it.
- GuardStops a destroy nobody named.
- ApplyDoes not run.
Example plan
- +google_cloud_run_v2_servicecreate
- ~google_storage_bucketupdate in place
- -google_sql_database_instancedestroy
1 to add, 1 to change, 1 to destroy
Apply stopped
This plan destroys a resource nobody named. A change that would destroy a resource stops before it applies, unless the destroy was named.
On our own infrastructure
53mocked-provider tests, run without touching a cloud account
- State encrypted with KMS, one per root
- Cloudflare edges with DNSSEC, CAA and MTA-STS
What does Terraform and OpenTofu consulting include?
We build or re-architect your infrastructure as code in Terraform or OpenTofu and the pipeline that applies it: reviewed plans, encrypted state, and an apply that refuses to destroy anything nobody named. The CI/CD & IaC package covers that for USD 4,000, fixed, in 2 weeks. When infrastructure is better managed from Kubernetes, we have also run Crossplane.
The same guarded apply runs on our own infrastructure, described below.
What you get, step by step
Everything in the package, in the order it lands. The price and the duration stay the same.
Step 1: Pipelines
Build or re-architect your CI/CD pipelines.
Step 2: Infrastructure
Build or re-architect your infrastructure as code.

What does a whole Google Cloud platform in OpenTofu look like?

On an AI marketing platform we built from zero, all of Google Cloud is OpenTofu:
- Cloud Run services and jobs, Cloud SQL Postgres and Cloud Storage.
- A load balancer with Cloud Armor.
- Workload identity and Secret Manager.
- Tag-driven releases that build, migrate and deploy by image digest.

Frequently asked questions
What is OpenTofu?
OpenTofu is an open-source infrastructure as code tool, used the way Terraform is. We run it on our own infrastructure and on the AI marketing platform we built.
How do you avoid accidental destroys?
Our apply is guarded: a change that would destroy a resource stops before it applies, unless the destroy was named.
How do you test infrastructure code?
With mocked-provider tests that run without touching a cloud account. Our own infrastructure has 53.
Can you migrate us from Terraform to Crossplane?
We did it for a fintech SaaS platform, as zero-downtime cutovers with rollback. Whether it suits you depends on whether your team already runs GitOps.
Where is Terraform or OpenTofu state kept?
In our own infrastructure, state is KMS-encrypted, one per root. For yours, the backend depends on your cloud.
How much does an infrastructure as code rebuild cost?
CI/CD & IaC is USD 4,000, fixed price, 2 weeks. It builds or re-architects your CI/CD pipelines and your infrastructure as code.
Which clouds have you used?
AWS EKS at the fintech platform, Google Cloud on the AI marketing platform, and a major cloud at the transportation company.
Can I add DevOps engineers to my team by the hour?
Yes, with staff augmentation: USD 55–60 an hour for a Lead or Architect, 45–50 Senior, 35–40 Mid and 30 Junior, with a 6-month minimum.
How do we run OpenTofu on our own infrastructure?
Clouditive's own infrastructure is OpenTofu, with these controls:
- KMS-encrypted state, one per root.
- A guarded apply: a change that would destroy a resource stops before it applies.
- 53 mocked-provider tests that run without touching a cloud account.
- Cloudflare edges with DNSSEC, CAA and MTA-STS.
What did Terraform, Atlantis and Crossplane do for client platforms?
For a fintech portfolio-analytics SaaS platform on AWS EKS, infrastructure is Terraform/OpenTofu with Atlantis, and we migrated it to Crossplane as zero-downtime cutovers with rollback.
For a US transportation services company, Crossplane runs on all three clusters. It holds 54 managed resources through GitOps and 15 service databases on a shared PostgreSQL per environment.
Terraform, OpenTofu or Crossplane: how do you choose?
Choose by who applies changes and where state lives. Terraform or OpenTofu with Atlantis applies reviewed plans from pull requests and keeps state in a backend you encrypt. Crossplane keeps resources as Kubernetes objects that Argo CD syncs, which suits teams that already run GitOps. We have run both, and moved a fintech platform from the first to the second as cutovers with rollback.
